Carbonation (Part 2) Comparing the Carbon Footprints of Concrete & Plastic Pipes
Concrete pipes compare favourably to polypropylene and HDPE pipes when installed with a full granular surround and the effective carbon footprint of a DN2100 concrete pipe including carbonation can be around 38% lower than a DN2100 HDPE pipe. The gap is significantly bigger when other bedding designs are used.Download here.
